Plant 20,000 trees to sustain the ecosystem

Photo
Amount: $420 or TSH 650,000

  • Why?
A tree nursery will allow a village to plant all kind of trees: fruit trees as source of food for nutritional value, quick-growing timber trees so that they can harvest the wood more sustainably and watershed trees that help to combat soil erosion and keep the water in the soil.

Such a tree nursery will not only provide many new trees for this village, but it is an income-generating opportunity of the new rural woman group that will be formed when you have supported them as they can also sell the tree seedlings, thus allowing a sustainable project.

  • What will you sponsor?
       - The rural woman group will make sure to find an appropriate tree nursery site, clearing the site and leveling the ground, collect manure, sand and soil ingredients needed for the germination and growing of tree seedlings to the nursery
       - Thanks to your contribution, this rural woman group will acquire the necessary working tools, polythene tubes and tree seeds that will allow the seedlings to become trees and then they can be planted and sold.
       - It is expected that with your contribution at least 20,000 trees can be planted in one year!

  • What can you expect?
        - You will receive pictures from the hand-over of the tools to the local women community group
        - You will receive a scanned “thank you” letter of this community including an English translation provided by KIHO
        - You will receive four updates every three months about how the project is going, including pictures
