Cultural exchange: "Knocking on the Doors of Different Cultures"

Picture
Sharing our culture with the world
"Knocking on the Doors of Different Cultures" is the name of a cultural exchange project supported by the European Union. In 2011, we facilitated the exchange of experiences and good practices between youth, youth workers and youth leaders from different parts of the world. We organized workshops together with our partner organizations, namely EUROGEMS (Italy), Instituto Recriando (Brazil), Agenda 21 (Argentina) and Xunta de Galicia (Spain). We established a long term partnership built on similar interests and priorities regarding one particular target group - young people with fewer opportunities. Aiming to create a common intercultural perspective, the targeted youth shall be enabled to solve current problems through adding boundless cooperation and idea-sharing as tools to improve their situation.

Throughout the year 2011 we conducted several dissemination activities in Spain, Brazil and Tanzania. Each host organization focused to share the situation of their youth and presented current approaches and working methods. Building on this information exchange, each organization was enabled to include good practices, innovative ideas and to establish a long term premise for further cooperation among the organizations.
